Conference Photography in San Francisco.

We just finished photography for Adaptive Planning’s Annual User Conference at the Nikko Hotel in San Francisco. This is our 3rd event with Adaptive and each time we walk away with the same feeling that there is such energy in this growing company. it’s amazing and so motivating!

We were at the conference for 2 reasons, the first to photograph some headshots and the second to document the conference.

The headshot photos were a part of a team of photography, hair/make up, coordination, and video for Adaptive’s promotional use. This is how it worked: an interviewee comes in, Marla Vigil from Hair and Make-Up Studio did some light make-up and hair touch-ups, we would take a few headshots then the person would go in the video room where we took a few more “behind-the-scenes” shots. At that point they would go into a closed video interview session filmed by Urban Reel. In order to make sure that it all went smoothly, Gaelen O’Connell and Melinda Venable of Social Scouters handled the project management end of it all. The whole team was great to work with.

As for the conference, Hagop covered it in a documentary style. Going from room to room, session to session in between headshots. We had a great schedule provided to us by Adaptive that made sure we covered all the important keynote and other speakers, we also had time allotted for the break-out sessions, candid and group shots of the attendees.

Even though the conference was important for Adaptive, they also wanted to be sure to capture the party they had planned. It was their 10th Anniversary! They had some special moments that needed to be photographed. There were speeches, a birthday cake, caricature artist, Dueling Piano musicians, great food provided by the Nikko Hotel and of course a DJ.
